Our Process

Stage One - Initial Contact

Making an initial enquiry for plastic surgery may sometimes be associated with feelings of apprehension. The first step in this journey however should only be one of information gathering and research and our aim is to make this as seamless as possible. It is the step where you get to ask your questions and carefully consider all the options available, in essence, you are in control. We are a small team who take great pride in making people feel comfortable during their journey and we will always give objective advice on what is possible and what is not.

Stage Two - Consultation

We will strive to accommodate your clinic request at a location and time convenient for you, in London or in Surrey. In preparation for the consultation, please use the information on this website as a guide and write any list of questions that you may have on the printable information sheets. We feel that careful planning and choosing the right treatment for you is as important as the procedure itself. There is therefore, no rush, when it comes to surgery and we will meet at least twice, before any final plans are made. Only the initial consultation is charged and all subsequent meetings including all the follow ups, no matter how many, are included.

Stage Three - Surgery

On the day of surgery, you should hopefully feel very relaxed as our preparation would have been thorough, the plan clear and you should know you are in safe hands. An online consent form with all the information and risks should have been sent to you prior to this date and we will confirm this together and any small final questions answered. After a short time in the post-operative recovery area, you will go to your private room. The nurses will assist you with your surgical garment and your pain levels will be monitored and controlled with medication. After certain surgeries, you might have a drip in your arm for fluids and medicines, but you will be encouraged to eat, drink and mobilise. If you are spending the night, a blood thinning injection may also be required to reduce the risk of leg clots and this is usually given under the skin the next morning.

Stage Four - After discharge

Following your discharge, we will take care of all the arrangements for you. These include appointments after a week to check the wounds and then again at 2 or 3 weeks. The immediate post-operative period might feel a little daunting after you leave the hospital. Please rest assured however, that we are here to support you with anything you might need, including any questions or clarifications needed. After discharge you should have all the necessary contact numbers, including the hospital where you were treated and also Mr Nanidis’ PA, who is always contactable during day time hours. We pride ourselves in providing individualised care and want to be by your side throughout your treatment journey.

Stage Five - Recovery

Resting plays a big part in getting better after surgery. We all lead hectic lives, but it is important to pause and recover, as overdoing it too early on can lead to complications. Walking is encouraged of course, but this should be limited in the first few days to indoors and short outdoor walks as pain allows. Please wear your supportive garment day and night during this 6 week period. You should be able to have a shower after 24hrs following surgery. You can wet the surgical tapes, but then dry them thoroughly with a hairdryer on a cool setting. This can be repeated on a daily basis. Baths and swimming are not advised until all the wounds have healed. In general, after surgery, heavy exercise and lifting is not advisable for about 6 weeks. This will of course depend on the type of procedure you have had and there will be specific guidance after each surgery. For breast procedures for example, lower body exercise after about 2 weeks and also light upper body exercises are safe. For tummy tucks for example, this might be longer with 4 – 6 weeks of no exercise, apart from walking and light upper body workouts. After 6 weeks most activities are safe, but please build this up slowly as your body and comfort allows. Please check with with us about any specific exercises you might want to undertake post-operatively and we will guide you through it.
