Revisional Surgery

All revisional plans are tailor-made and can be complex, it is therefore imperative we discuss these in greater detail during a consultation.

Revision surgery may be required for the replacement of old implants, for ruptured or misplaced implants, tight capsular contractures, asymmetry, pain and drooping of the gland over a high riding implant (waterfall deformity). This type of surgery can be challenging and requires careful planning and consideration. Procedures can range from a simple implant exchange to the combination of multiple techniques. It is important that patients are aware that revisional surgery, as compared to primary surgery, carries a higher risk of complications.
